Week 9 NFL & Week 10 CFB + Money Line Moonshots
Ok, so the money line moonshots have been a dud the last few weeks. They are designed to be the sprinkles on the cupcake, not the cupcake itself. If you have a high risk tolerance, then fire on the money line plays and size bets accordingly. Here is a recap of the plays from Monday and Tuesday along with an added play in college football for Friday night.
College Football
Ohio State at Nebraska +14.5
Michigan State at Purdue +3
**Utah at Stanford Under 54.5 (Friday night game)
Money Line Moonshots
Cal at Arizona +390
Arizona is winless this season and gets a very beatable opponent in the desert on Saturday. The Wildcats finally taste victory this year with a win over the Bears.
UTSA at UTEP + 370
The Miners are a team that most bettors ignore on the card. This week they host the undefeated Roadrunners in a massive C-USA game. UTSA has one of the weakest strength of schedules in Division 1. This will be UTEP’s default bowl game since they are rarely a coveted team by the bowl system.
San Diego State at Hawaii +260
The Aztecs are ranked in the college football playoff rankings which should get the attention of the Rainbow Warriors. Hawaii QB Chevan Cordeiro is one of the best signal callers nobody knows about nationally. The Aztecs have a very sluggish offense which keeps them from creating big margins on opponents. Take the Bows in the late night owl game.
NFL
Two team teaser
Packers +7 & Niners +8.5
This teaser has been littered with injury issues on both sides. Rodgers is out for Green Bay and for Arizona, Murray could be out. Based on the market moves, it seems like Murray may miss this one. Tough break on the Rodgers news, but this play still has to go on the documented record.
In the futures market for the NFL, I found a play I think provides nice value. In the offensive rookie of the year, you can find Elijah Mitchell of the 49ers at 50/1 at FanDuel. Getting 50/1 is such a good price for a player who will get very high usage the rest of the season.
Another futures play that you can fire on to lock in a small profit is Alabama in the National Championship futures market. If you play the “no” on the odds to make the playoffs on Bama at +140 at DraftKings sportsbook, then you come back on the Tide in the SEC championship game on the moneyline at what such be a plus price around +105 and maybe +110. Regardless of outcome, you will make money on the game.
Best of luck this weekend!!
