SB 58 recap & Genesis Invitational
Our SB 58 picks did well with the total staying under 47.5 (barely) and our 3 props going 2-1. We cashed on the 3 consecutive scores by one team at -155 and the longest drive Under 77.5 yards at +140. Our team total Under 18.5 +240 on the 49ers was in play for a majority of the game but ended up missing in the end. In our look ahead SB 58 release, we suggested Kyle Juszczyk the FB for the 49ers as a player to target on props and his receiving yards and rushing yards props both went over.
This week, we have 3 plays for the Genesis Invitational a 70 player elevated event on the PGA Tour. Last week, our rust on golf betting showed as our 4 picks went 0-4, but we will keep firing on the golf plays since it is a fun 4 day sweat.
Riviera CC in Los Angeles, CA is the venue for this week’s tournament.
Here is the scorecard for the event:
Par 71, 7322 yards
Very tight landing areas, multiple doglegs, unpredictable Kikuyu rough, a lot of risk/reward opportunities
Fairways/Rough 2" Kikuyu - A common grass in South Africa which is very spongy and can be tricky around the greens
Greens: 4th largest on Tour, Poa annua grass, 12 stimp meter, fast and with subtle undulations, some of the toughest on Tour - a good course comp is Augusta National
8 of the last 10 winners here are not in the field - Jon Rahm, Joaquin Niemann, Bubba Watson (3x), J.B Holmes, Dustin Johnson, and James Hahn

Official Plays for this week
We have 3 plays and we went deep into the betting board with two top 30 plays and one miss the cut play
Lee Hodges Top 30 +225 (BetMGM)
Hodges has good course history here at Riviera with a T39 in 2022 and a T18 last season
Both of those results at the Genesis followed poor play with a run of 3 out of 4 missed cuts in 2022 and a run of 5 straight MCs in 2023.
The season, Hodges enters the event off a 3 out of 4 missed cuts so we are lloking to buy low on a player who has solid course history
Sam Ryder Top 30 + 230 (DraftKings)
Like Hodges, Ryder has played Riviera well over the years despite not being the loing hitter that traditionally fares well here
In 2022 Ryder carded a T26 and in 2023 he finished T20
Ryder is another buy low opportunity despite a stacked field of elite golfers
After a missed cut in Scottsdale, Ryder should be fresh for a week that features golfers playing 3 weeks in a row
Scottie Scheffler To Miss the Cut +800 (DraftKings)
Scheffler has played a ton of golf early in the season and this will be his 3rd event in a row
These tricky greens could be the Achilles heel for Scheffler’s dodgy putting
The cut this week is Top 50 and ties and players within 10 shots of the lead after 36 holes so about 15 players will miss the cut, but the +800 price is too good to pass up
This is just a novelty bet trying to be full contrarian on the #1 player in the world simply being burned out at the end of the west coast swing
Best of luck with your bets this week!
