College Football Week 10!!
Week 10 has arrived. We are 52% on our side and total plays after a 1-1 week last week. Our moneyline moonshots were 0-3 and UTEP was a whisker away from knocking off FAU, but came up 3 points short. BC is on our no-bet list now. I love Jeff Hafley, but he is playing very short handed in terms of talent.
This week the college football playoff rankings come out and here is my prediction for the Top 6. This isn’t how I would rank the teams, this is how I think the committee will stack them. They will overweight the win by Oregon over Ohio State and put the Ducks at 5. They historically love the Big Ten, so I would not be surprised to see Michigan State in the Top 6 instead of the Bearcats.
Georgia
Alabama
Ohio State
Oklahoma
Oregon
Cincinnati
This week’s card has some games that present opportunity. A lot of home dogs and the pressure of November games is real for those road favorites. We really start to separate the contenders from the pretenders this month.
Ohio State at Nebraska +14.5
The Huskers will pour everything they have into this one. Max effort from them this week as the Bucks come to town. The playoff pressure will be dialed up this week with the rankings coming out and Ohio State having a 3 or 4 next to their name. Take Big Red this week to keep this one very close.
Michigan State at Purdue +3
The Spartans are a very good team. Why are they only a 3 point favorite at Purdue? Hmmmm. When a line feels fishy like this, I’ll take the dog and back the Boilermakers who will be fired up to knock off a highly ranked team. Jeff Brohm will force the Michigan State passing game to perform this weekend and I don’t think they are up to the challenge. Bang that giant drum Boilermakers.
There are some additional games I will add to the card in the Thursday recap email. Just watching the market and trying to get confirmation on some key injuries.
